About Great Hormones MD

Great Hormones MD was founded by Dr. Gray Erlacher, a Board-Certified Family Physician with more than 30 years of clinical experience and a longstanding interest in menopause, hormone optimization, preventive medicine, and healthy aging.

A North Carolina native, Dr. Erlacher earned his medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and completed postgraduate training at the University of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin.

As one of the earliest physician adopters of bioidentical hormone therapy in the 1990s, Dr. Erlacher recognized the need for a more comprehensive and evidence-based approach to perimenopause and menopause care.

Drawing on decades of experience in family medicine with obstetrics, emergency medicine, and hospital leadership, Dr Erlacher developed the clinical philosophy, protocols and patient-centered care model that form the foundation of Great Hormones MD.

Today, Great Hormones MD is a specialized menopause and hormone health practice staffed by qualified healthcare professionals who share a commitment to individualized care, scientific rigor, and compassionate patient service. Our mission is to help women achieve better health, vitality, and quality of life through every stage of hormonal transition and healthy aging.
